State Representative David Harris recently met with a number of local library officials at the Illinois Library Association’s annual Legislative Breakfast.  Issues of concern to the library officials, such as proper funding of the per capita library grants that flow through the Secretary of State’s office, were discussed in some depth.

Representative Harris is a member of the House General Services Appropriations Committee that considers the Secretary of State’s budget and the grants contained in that budget.  He has been a strong supporter of adequate library funding.
